Rifle Heat Shield

This rifle heat shield protects against exhaust heat reaching your muzzle cup, needed when a rifle mount is positioned so the muzzle cup sits directly in line with the exhaust outlet. In that position, exhaust heat has been known to melt the plastic dip coating on the muzzle cup; this heat shield is designed to prevent that. It's most commonly needed on RH long rifle mounts, where the muzzle tip typically lines up directly with the exhaust.


Made for use with: Lower Support Suppressor Muzzle Cup (FMSA-GL-LS3) and Lower Support Std. Muzzle Cup w/Sight Shield (FMSA-GL-LS5). See Related Products below.


Available in: stainless steel or powder-coated finish.

Upper Section

  • Newest GEN 2 version, further modified for the new R 1300 RT-P
  • Retroactively compatible with all earlier RT-P models back to 2006
  • Adjustable barrel support (order separately) accommodates:
    • Up to 14" with standard mounts
    • Up to 18" with the RH Long mounting bracket
  • Barrel lengths include overall length with suppressor fitted

  • Santa Cruz Gunlocks shielded SC-1 lock with CA round key
  • New anti-magnetic lock shield built into the rifle mount
  • Wire chamber with quick-connect SCGL
  • Black wiring harness terminated for the BMW gun lock release plug connector

Important Notes

  • R 1300 RT-P with long rifle brackets: Modification is required when mounting earlier model upper mounts — specifically, relocating the pin for the rubber strap, or it could damage the tail light.
